Lucy Collings | Biography

Since the age of five, Lucy Collings has sketched scenes from her natural surroundings. As a child growing up in South Africa, she enjoyed drawing and painting the horses on her families' farm. Today she is inspired by the mountains where she lives, skis and hikes. She has lived in North Vancouver, British Columbia since 1978.

Lucy enjoys painting "on location" and uses the family van as a traveling studio. She often drives to out-of-the-way places where she spends hours painting by the side of a quite road.

Lucy is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an active member of the North Shore Artists' Guild.
