Lucy Collings
Lucy Collings | Biography
Since the age of five, Lucy Collings has sketched scenes from her
natural surroundings. As a child growing up in South Africa, she
enjoyed drawing and painting the horses on her families' farm. Today
she is inspired by the mountains where she lives, skis and hikes.
She has lived in North Vancouver, British Columbia since 1978.
Lucy enjoys painting "on
location" and uses the family van as a traveling studio. She
often drives to out-of-the-way places where she spends hours painting
by the side of a quite road.
Lucy is a signature member of
the Federation of Canadian Artists and an active member of the North
Shore Artists' Guild.
