Danuta Frydrych | Biography

Danuta Kowalczyk Frydrych graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Wroclaw, Poland. She holds a Masters degree in Sculpture, paintings and graphics. During a three-year sojourn in Germany she worked on commisioned copied of Old Masters' paintings. Subsequently she spent a year in the USA, working with the Arizona sculptor Jim Branscum. After immigrating to Canada she lived for three years in Winnipeg before moving to Vancouver, where she presently resides. Her artistic versatility enables her to work in a number of media - painting, sculpture, crafts, costume design and book illustration.She exhibits her work in Canada, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Japan, and the United States.
